Welcome to SSCT
South Sydney Community Transport is a not-for-profit Community organisation based in Redfern, NSW, Australia. The organisation receives the majority of its funding through the Home and Community Care program and as such its main focus is on the provision of transport services to the frail aged, younger people with disabilities and their carers.
We offer accessible and affordable transport options for social, shopping and medical trips, as well as social assistance through the Assisted Shopping Program. Subject to availability, bus hire is also possible with our vehicles. We also run two shuttle services from Redfern to Broadway and Woolloomooloo.
South Sydney Community Transport is managed by a committee of local residents and workers. We encourage people to join the organisation and have input into the delivery of our services.
The community management and staff of South Sydney Community Transport acknowledge the Eora people, the traditional owners of this land, and apologise for past and present injustices suffered by the Indigenous community in this local area. We recognise the right of the Indigenous community to achieve social justice.
SSCT receives funding from the NSW Ministry of Transport, Department of Ageing Disability
and Home Care, City of Sydney Council, NSW Department of Health and ACON.
